I promised the pattern for these cute shark slippers if I couldn’t find one… (or soon I will have them already made for sale at www.sewaccessible.storenvy.com)
These booties are sized for 0-3 months- if you play with the pattern and use other sized hooks you can make them for bigger sizes..
Now here it is!!
Supplies:
F and G hook
3 colors yarn
needle for ends
Special notes:
Special stitches are dc2tog- double crochet 2 together and sc2tog- single crochet 2 together. If you don’t know how there are wonderful tutorials on www.youtube.com!!
When ss into edge to count as ch 1- it means to ss in the row above, because we are moving up to the next row.
Sole: (make 2)
Using an F hook with color #1 (this will be shark’s belly)
Ch 8,
R1- 2 sc into 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc into next 5 ch, 2 sc into last st
R2- ch 1, 2 sc into 1st st, 1 sc in next 7 st, 2 sc in last st.
R3- ch1, 1 sc in each st
repeat R3 until measures 2 inches…
…R4- ch 1, sc2tog, 1 sc in next 5 st, sc2tog
R5- ch 1, sc2tog, 1 sc in next 3 st, sc2tog
fasten and weave ends. Should measure 2 1/2- 2 3/4 inches
Using G hook and color #2 yarn (this will be shark back and head)
R1- ss into sole at end where you just fastened off, 2 sc in each st (6 st up to 12)
R2- ss into edge of sole (counts as ch1), 2 sc into 1 st, 1 sc into next 10 st, 2 sc in last st, ss into edge.
R3- ss into edge (counts as ch 1), 2sc into next 12 st, 2 sc in last st, ss into edge.
R4- ss into edge, 1 sc in each st, ss into edge

using color 2 and G hook
ss into sole at R3 edge (slipper’s R3)

R1- ch 1, 1 hdc in each edge st (4 st), sc in each top st (from toes- 16 st), 1 hdc in edge of other side of sole (4 st). (24 stitches total)
R2- ch 2, 1 dc in each side st (4 st), 1 sc in each sc st (16), 1 dc in each side st (4 st)
R3- ch 2, 1 dc in next 3 st, dc2tog, 2 sc2tog, 1 sc in next 7 st, 2 sc2tog, dc2tog, 1 dc in next 3 st
R4- ch 2, 1 dc in next 3 st, dc2tog, 2 sc2tog, sc in next 4 st, 2 sc2tog, dc2tog, dc in next 3 st.
R5- ch 2, 1 dc in next 3 st, dc2tog, 1 dc in next 4 st, dc2tog, 1 dc in next 3 st

Back of Slipper
using color #1 (shark’s tummy)
R1- ss into sole next to the side previously working on., ss into side piece (these 2 ss count as ch2) 1 hdc in each st (10 st) and ss into side (so we don’t have to sew them together)
R2- ss into side, front post crochet hdc in each st (10st), ss into side
R3-5 ss, into side, dc in each st across (10 st), ss into side
stop connecting to front
R6-7- ch 1, sc in next 2 st, 1 hdc in next, 1 dc in next, trc in next, 1 dc in next, hdc in next, 1 sc in next 2 st (10 st)
R8- ch1, *2 sc into 1 st, 1 sc in next st* across row
fasten and weave ends

Shark Head
R1- ch 1, dc in each st, ss into color 1 (12 st)
R2- ch 2, 2 dc into 1 st, 1 dc in next 12 st, 2 dc into last st (12 up to 14 st)
R3- ch 2, 2 dc in 1 st, 1 dc in next 6 st, 2 dc in next 2 st, 1 dc in next 2 s, 1 dc in next 6 st, 2 dc in last st (20 st)
R4- ch 1,1 sc in next 4 st, 1 hdc in next 2 st, 1 dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next 4 st, 1 dc in next 2 st, 1 hdc in next 2 st, 1 sc in next 4 st
R5- ch 1, 1 sc in next 4 st, 1 hdc in next 2 st, 1 dc in next 4 st, 2 dc I next 4 st, 1 dc in next 4 st, 1 hdc in next 2 st, 1 sc in next 4 st

ch 3, sc into 3rd ch from hook, ss into next st (on mouth edge), *ss into next st, ch 3, sc into 3rd ch from hook, ss into next st* around. I had 8 top teeth and 6 bottom teeth.
Middle Fin (make 2)
G Hook- color #2
R1- ch 10, sc in 3rd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch
R2- ch 1, 1 sc in next 6 st, sc2tog
R3- ch 1, sc2tog, 1 sc in next 5 st
R4- ch 1, sc in next 2 st, 2 dc2tog
R5- ch2, 2 dc2tog
R6- ch 3 ss into the last ch 3 turn on previous row.
fasten off * save end to sew into slipper

R1- ch 6, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each st (5 st)
R2- ch 1, 1 sc in next 3 st, sc2tog
R3- ch 1, sc2tog, 1 sc in each st across
fasten off *save ends to sew into slipper
Just sew on button eyes and fins and you are finished!!!
